Rosie the Whale, Puget Sound, and Myself

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the audience...WEAR SUNSCREEN.
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be IT. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now."*
-Drink lots of water! (Scott got particularly sick--we think it was heat exhaustion)
-pizza rolls cooked on a stick over a fire will burn your mouth...that filling is like lava!
-When jumping off friends shoulders in a pool, make sure the two guys trying to launch you lift you at the same time (my knee hurt the rest of the day)
-Don't stay late when you are tired just because no one else is ready to go to sleep (lauren+late night without a nap=zombie)
-eat the fish tacos in Coupeville...DELICIOUS
-go skim boarding at least once (though I guarantee you'll be hooked even after just one attempt)
-don't forget cooking utensils when camping, but if you do, use a flat branch
-S'mores are better with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups instead of a plain chocolate bar
"Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth. But trust me on the SUNSCREEN."*
